Noah's Ark

If you are looking for a retreat by the beach combined with the opportunity to do beach ministry or wish to do a vacation with a purpose, Noah’s Ark is the place to find it. Summer ministry runs June through mid August.

Noah’s Ark is situated in the heart of Panama City Beach right across the street from the beautiful white sand beaches. The ministry has a three fold purpose:

  • To be a witness to the presence of Christ and the Church
  • To provide opportunities for church groups to hold their retreats and join in the witness.
  • To provide a caring, pastoral family for summer vacationers and winter guests.

    To enhance your retreat, the summer staff includes pastors and the “two by two” team. The two by two team consists of college students who work in the ministry and serve as role models for junior high and high school guests.

    Afternoons can be spent witnessing on the beach and inviting the public to the Ark’s two nightly Christian concerts held Monday through Saturday. The concerts are free and meant to be family friendly, inspirational, encouraging and entertaining for both retreat groups and vacationers. Some groups also do volunteer work around the retreat or at a local nursing home or rescue center.

    Noah’s Ark typically hosts 3 or 4 groups at a time. While it is affiliated with the Alabama – West Florida conference of the United Methodist Church, churches from all denominations stay at the Ark. Worship services are held on Sunday mornings.

    In addition to kitchen and meeting room facilities, your group of 15 to 150 can rent one or more of the sleeping facilities which include:

  • A 5 bedroom home furnished with twin beds that sleeps 22
  • Dorm rooms with bunks for 10, 10, 4, 4 and 2 (a total of 30 guests)
  • The center dorm with bunks which sleeps 45
  • The large dorm with bunks which sleeps 60

    All of the dorms are air conditioned. You will need to bring your own bedding and towels.

    The Ark’s winter ministry runs from November thru March. All faiths are represented at the Sunday worship services. In place of beach ministry, Monday through Saturday you will find about 70 classes a week offered by the Snowbird Club for the enjoyment of winter guests.
