Buffet Restaurants offer Quick
Satisfaction for Hungry Kids

We have found buffet restaurants to be an excellent choice when vacationing with children. There is generally minimal waiting because the food is ready to serve. There are so many choices that something is sure to please everyone. Older kids like the independence of serving themselves. Our family rule became you need to have a meat and a vegetable on your first plate and french fries don’t count.

Our first recommendation is Golden Corral on 23rd Street in Panama City. It has an excellent variety of foods and their Brass Bell Bakery. Right across the street is Crasy Buffet which serves Asian cuisine. It is a fairly typical oriental buffet except there is a sushi bar. Pictured is sushi available at lunch time. In the evening there is also salmon and other fish on the sushi bar as well as steaks at the grill. Lunch menus tend to have fewer offerings, but we find that they are less expensive and just as filling. Our family likes to go for a late lunch. After a meal like that, everyone is usually satisfied with a sandwich or snack for dinner.

If you visit during the busiest seasons, traffic can make travel times to Panama City very long. A much closer option is Lynn’s Country Buffet on Front Beach Road near Route 79. It is smaller than the others, but still has plenty of options. An added bonus that my kids love is the Dollar Store right next door.
