Family Activities for
Adventure and Enjoyment

There are family activities and adventures of all kinds to enjoy during your vacation in Panama City Beach. Some of the best and more unique experiences that you will want to check out include:

  • Alligator feeding takes place daily at Alvin’s Big Island Tropical Department Store (only the one that looks like a huge rock on Front Beach Road). You can also pet a baby alligator when the handlers are working.

  • The Sea Dragon Pirate Cruise is a top rated adventure for the whole family. There are non-stop pirate themed activities for the kids. Additionally you may enjoy seeing dolphins or watching a sunset.

  • The Gran Maze at Coconut Creek is a lot of fun. Whether you go through the maze and checkpoints as a family or split up and compete, you’ll want to go more than once to improve your time. We definitely recommend the pay one price all day pass (which also includes the mini golf courses)!

  • Dolphins! Choose from swimming with dolphins either at Gulf World or in the wild, spotting dolphins while on one of many boat or cruise adventures or even find them during a fishing charter.

    There are even more family amusements and facilities in the area. Choose from numerous mini golf courses, go cart tracks, bowling alleys, arcades and pool tables, thrill rides, movie theaters, batting cages, shopping, roller skating, paint ball and theme parks. Many of the entertainment centers offer a combination of family activities. Look for discounts and all day passes when doing more than one activity at the same park.

  • Emerald Coast Mirror Maze and Laser Craze in Pier Park offers two unique family diversions. Test your agility at Laser Craze. This is not laser tag; think high tech security in the movies! While you are there, try the 2300 sq ft Mirror Maze. Can you make it through without touching a mirror?

  • Cobra Adventure Park has go carts, batting cages, kiddie rides, arcades, mini golf and thrill rides with names such as Vertical Accelerator and Wild Thing.

  • Rock’it Lanes offers bowling, roller skating, pool tables, and arcade games. There is also a sports bar. It is a good place to go on a rainy day to keep the whole family happy.

  • Zoo World has exotic animals, animal shows and a beautiful botanical park for your enjoyment. You will not want to miss Sidney the Giraffe in the petting zoo.

  • Emerald Falls has bumper boats, arcade games, go carts including a kiddie track, kiddie rides and mini golf.

  • Hidden Lagoon has two mini golf courses. There is a $50 prize for a hole in one on the 18th hole. It also has the longest go cart track in the area.

  • Ride the virtual roller coaster and view amazing, unusual and odd displays at Ripleys Believe It or Not! Museum. The Odditorium is hard to miss since it is shaped like a giant ship.

  • Pirates Island Adventure Golf has two pirate themed miniature golf courses.

  • Super Speed Fun Park has nice range family activities...bumper boats, go carts, a haunted house and a cool black light mini golf course.

  • Coconut Creek has a maze about the size of a football field and two African safari themed miniature golf courses.
