Our Family's Recommendations

We would like to feature some of the great vacation rentals we’ve found in Panama City Beach, Florida. Having been there forty or more times, we’ve had the opportunity to try out a variety of places. Some have been more memorable than others, so what we’d like to share here is the ones that have been memorable in a good way. Hopefully you will find this helpful in choosing your perfect vacation accommodations.

Lagoon House (sleeps 16)

This house is bigger than it looks. It has five bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms. This house is located on the Grand Lagoon. It stands out among great vacation rentals because it has its own boat dock and swimming pool. It’s located in a quiet residential neighborhood, but it is quite close to many attractions and the Hathaway Bridge.

We would recommend this home for families looking for a spacious quiet place. It is also a great choice for family reunions since it sleeps 16 and offers four master bedroom set ups each with its private bathroom. The boat dock makes it perfect if you have or wish to rent a boat for the week. Finally, if you’re like us and have to have free internet to stay in touch at work this is an excellent choice since it not only has wireless high speed internet throughout the house, but also an office connected to the grand master suite and a fax machine. The pool is six feet deep, which is something you want to be mindful of especially if you have small children.

Seachase Condominiums (sleeps 8)

This two bedroom, two bath condo is located right on the beach. It stands out among great vacation rentals because of its spacious 1400 square foot open layout and its 60 feet of wall to wall, floor to ceiling windows. The mirrored walls in the dining room and kitchen add to the spacious feel. There is free wi-fi. This home has been recently redecorated with high end West Indies themed furniture. It is located on the quiet west end of the beaches, but not far from Pier Park. There are some tall chairs on the balcony which are great for viewing the beach. Since there are only 64 units the pool and beaches are relatively uncrowded.

We recommend this home for families who want to be right on the beach. The quiet hours from 10pm to 10 am keep this a quiet, family oriented complex. This is also great for those who love beach views and sounds as well as watching sealife and sunsets. The location is convenient for those wanting to shop at Pier Park and those attending events at Frank Brown Park.

Beachwalk Condominiums #18A (sleeps 6)

This is a two bedroom, two bath townhouse located on the west end of the beaches. It stands out among great vacation rentals for its affordablity as an off beach rental with a pool and tennis courts right in the complex. It is also walking distance from the beach. It has free high speed internet.

We would recommend this home for families looking for affordable accommodations, but wanting a home rather than a hotel room. The larger pool is great if you’d like to actually swim a little rather than just cooling off in the water. We love that this unit is just steps away from the pool, as a matter of fact the balcony overlooks the pool. Its location is convenient for those attending a ball tournament or other event at Frank Brown Park.

Southern Comfort (sleeps 12)

This three bedroom three bathroom single family home is right on the beach. It stands out among great vacation rentals because of the wonderful balconies. One off the second floor master bedroom and an even larger one off the living room. We enjoyed the bright colors and the lovely decorating in this home. There is a grill on the deck, which we didn’t get around to trying since we were playing with our new solar cooker on that trip. The deck furniture both upstairs and down was really comfortable and nice. These owners added some really good touches. The owl statue kept the decks nice and clean by keeping the birds away. The even had a couple of fishing poles there to use!

We recommend this home for families who want to be right on the beach. Since it’s on the far west end of the beaches and there are no buildings just open beaches and sand dunes on the east side of the house it is an incredibly peaceful setting. This is also great for families who love to hang out together on the deck, listen to the waves crashing against the beach and watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
