Loved Spending the Day Pier Park

The Grand Theatre at Pier Park
Pier Park is a great place to go in the evening or on a cloudy day. The shops are nice and there is a wide variety of both upscale and regulars such as Penny's and Target.
One of the best features of Pier Park is the Movie Theatre Complex which has 16 theatres. It is unbelievably clean and the seats have padded armrests and they rock and sort of recline. We saw 'Final Destination', which was in 3D (my first 3D experience) and it was Awesome!
You'll find ice cream and chocolate to munch on as well as many restaurants. The chocolate store (I forget the name, but there's only one) has excellent bear claws (lots of whole cashews covered with rich caramel and milk chocolate) and the pralines are outstanding.
We ate at one of the seafood restaurants right by the entry to the Park. Since we were there for lunch, we ended up buying appetizers to share. We had the Seafood Nachos, Boiled Shrimp, Crab & Artichoke Dip, and Raw Oysters. The Nachos were so-so, but the rest of it was very good. It was pricey, but there was more than enough food for three of us.
We had so much fun there that we went back the next night. The shopping is really nice, with shops for the young and old. There were lots of trendy clothing stores, but I liked the Coldwater Creek best. There's even a Croc Store for all you Croc Shoe fans.
The setting is really beautiful... great for pictures. There's a little train that runs through the park for kids too. It's a great way to spend an afternoon, evening or the whole day.
