Rent Motor Scooters or An Electric Car Motor scooters and electric cars can be a fun change of pace during your Panama City Beach vacation. There are a number of places along the beach to rent them, so we recommend taking careful note of which place you rented from.
Our family loved it since it gave the kids a morning to go off on their own while we did other things. However, this is not the choice to make if you're strictly looking for an extra vehicle for transportation. A rental car will go much faster and is also more cost effective.

In addition to scooters, many of the places rent motorcycles as well. You can find electric cars ranging in size from two to eight passengers. They also come in a variety of fun colors. We even saw one striped like a zebra! 
These vehicles are rented by the hour rather than by the day. They only go about 25 mph, so they're great for cruisin' on Front Beach Road, enjoying the beach and shopping. An advantage over rental cars if you have teens is that most places allow drivers as young as sixteen as long as they have a driver's license. 
Some also allow fifteen year olds with permits.
