St Andrews State Park Playing & Practicing Scuba Diving

by Eve
(Las Vegas, NV USA)

I love Panama City Beach, FL and have been there many times with and without my children. The sand is warm and wonderful, especially when flying down in the early spring to get out of the cold of Minnesota. So when I had completed my open water dive certification it felt only right to go back to a familiar beach to practice my new skills.

A small group of us got hotel rooms and planned our day taking turns watching children on the beach and diving with our partners. The water is warm which helps for new divers and no wet suits required which was a plus. The swim out with all the gear was a new experience and seemed much further than when just playing. We were able to go to a rock barrier and view wonder fish, eels and even other divers.
