Steakhouses...mmm mmm good!

Longhorn Steakhouse

There are several steakhouses in Panama City Beach offering relaxed casual steak dinners. LongHorn at the north end of Pier Park on Panama City Beach Parkway is a chain restaurant with a Western atmosphere.

Big Gus at Angelo's Steak PitOn Front Beach Road, you can’t miss “Big Gus” the 20,000 pound steer in front of Angelo’s. Angelo’s Steak Pit was established in 1954. In addition to steaks it offers a few seafood, chicken and rib entrees. If you love their food, you can bring home Angelo’s own barbecue sauce or steak seasoning. Another tasty option is Ruthie T’s on Thomas Drive.

Across the bridge in Panama City are even more choices. Black Angus is located on highway 98. Outback is located a little further away on 23rd Street. We haven’t eaten there simply because we patronize the one near home so often. Our favorite items are the cheese fries (we ask that they be cooked extra crispy), the Outback Special Steak and for dessert Chocolate Thunder from Down Under.

Triple J Steak House

Triple J Steak HouseTriple J Steak House is located on Thomas Drive. We hosted a 50th Anniversary party for our parents there and couldn’t have been more pleased with the food and service.

Anniversary Cake from Publix

Our guests had a choice of several items from the early bird menu and we thought the price was very reasonable. We had a nice room and were able to set up decorations and bring in our own cake. Don’t you think Publix did a beautiful job on the cake?
