Surfside Christian Retreat Was A Great Place for Our Church Vacation

Surfside Christian Retreat

The people at my church are very fun people. We're all good friends and like to get together once a year and go on a vacation during the summer. During these vacations we do a lot of work to help out communities in the area.

Last year we decided to go and stay at the Surfside Christian Retreat in Panama City Beach, FL. The beaches in Panama City Beach are absolutely beautiful. The only problem I've ever had was that it's not a very "Christian" environment down there with all the young kids partying and drinking. That's not our thing. This is why we decided to stay at the Surfside Christian Retreat. It had all the benefits of the beautiful beaches without all the other nonsense! :)

We went in the month of May and were offered $2 off of our package per person who would be staying there. Since we were going to visit for a week this was quite a significance savings!

When we arrived in the middle of May, I was quite impressed at by the atmosphere of the Surfside Christian Retreat. It had very stunning decor and a friendly Christian staff. These people were good folks who really went out of their way to make our stay as nice as possible. I really liked the outdoor pools. This meant we could all go for swims in the pools without having to leave the resort! I'd also like to mention that the rooms were absolutely beautiful! Each couple was given their very own room to stay in and it was a nice added touch. Each room was sunny, bright and very pretty! :) It felt quite a bit like home!

There were a lot of nice attractions very close to the Surfside Christian Retreat. One I'd like to mention is the Shipwreck Island Water Park. I went there with my wife and two children as well as another couple. I had a good time riding the rides and just generally hanging out! :)

Of course, it was not all fun and games here! My church group and I visited the local homeless shelters and soup kitchens to help out. We did a lot of activities in order to get involved with the community here!

All in all, this was an amazing vacation. I liked the retreat so much that I hope I can stay there again someday!
